Food safety and process training

The Wisconsin Innovation Kitchen is a state-inspected food processing facility. All processors using the Inovation Kitchen will be required to meet all state safety and training requirements at all times.

At this time we know of three levels of training available. This is subject to change at any time. The first, called the Certified Professional Safe Food Handlers Course, or ServSafe, will be required by all users of the Innovation Kitchen. The others may be required depending on the foods being processed.

The Safe Food Handlers Course is offered by the Tavern League of Wisconsin as well as the Wisconsin Restaurant Association. Both provide certification training and documentation required to work inside the Wisconsin Innovation Kitchen.
